Who I Want To Dress Like When I Grow Up: Martha Rogers

This is the start of a series I'm calling, "Who I Want to Dress Like When I Grow Up." My first muse is Martha Rogers. Martha is the oh so glamorous mother of writer Richard Castle in the hit ABC series, Castle.

She makes me wish I could be a red head.

I have been mesmerized with her since the show premiered. She embodies all of the characteristics of the late, great, actresses. She is a stage actor in the series and brings lots of dramatic comedy to the show. But let's just cut to the chase. Check out these outfits!

It's a little hard to see, but that would be an awesome pink leopard cardi. :)

Yellow? Ruffles? Zebra? Pearls? Winning!

Leopard wrap dress. Need I say anything else?

Who wears gloves like that? Um, and zebra! Love!

Ruffles and a turquoise pencil skirt. Yum!

Yellow bows. Adorable.

I need this jacket in my life. The lapels remind me of The Lady Grey coat. Perhaps this is a sign that I need to make it. Oh, zebra and the red gloves make another appearance. Gorgeous!

This is a shot of her wardrobe on set. I read in an interview (somewhere on the interwebs, but I forgot to bookmark it) that she has the largest wardrobe of all the cast members. Can I live in here please? It's like a rainbow of frickin' awesome.

Her accessories. Want.

I think the pictures pretty much sum up why I am enamored with her. Perhaps it's the way she manages to say "Dah-ling" 10 times an episode. Or maybe it's because she wears at least one piece of animal print in almost every outfit and manages to look like a classy broad and not this...

It is my fear with all my leopard love that I might come off as this. But I think if I stay away from the self tanner I'll be ok. :)

I hope you've all enjoyed this little bit of fashion porn. Who's wardrobe do you want to steal? Stay tuned next week for the next installment of Who I Want To Dress Like When I Grow Up featuring the lovely Penelope Garcia. Ta-ta and Aloha, Dah-lings!

  1. Martha, Martha, Martha! Susan Sullivan is the is the only reason I watch Castle. I love her wardrobe. Can't wait to see what you find on Kirsten Vangsness. A fellow seamster that reminds me of her is Patty at The Snug Bug
